What is CoolTone?

CoolTone is the latest body contouring treatment from the manufacturers of CoolSculpting®. While CoolSculpting focuses on reducing fat deposits, CoolTone strengthens and firms the underlying muscles. When used in combination, these treatments can work together to sculpt a slimmer, more toned silhouette.

How does CoolTone work?

CoolTone works via magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS) technology. This uses magnetic energy delivered through the device’s paddle-like applicator to cause your muscles to contract rapidly. As the magnetic field generated by the device creates a current through your muscles, the muscle fibers contract. These contractions strengthen and condition the muscles. The contractions are similar to those performed voluntarily during a workout but much more powerful and achieved without time in the gym.

Who is a candidate for CoolTone?

Candidates for CoolTone include people who:

  • Are at or near their ideal body weight
  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle
  • Are looking to improve muscle definition rather than lose fat
  • Do not have Grave’s disease, an active bleeding disorder, or a seizure disorder

What is a CoolTone treatment like?

CoolTone treatments take about 30 minutes and do not require downtime. During the treatment, you’ll recline as the applicator delivers magnetic energy to your muscles through layers of skin and fat. This usually feels like a series of strong, deep pulses. While the sensation may feel foreign at first, it is typically well-tolerated and does not require the use of any anesthetic.

What is recovery like after a CoolTone treatment?

CoolTone requires little to no downtime. Immediately after your treatment, you’ll be free to return to your usual daily activities. The day or 2 after your treatment, your muscles may feel sore, similar to the way they would feel after an intensive workout.

When will I see CoolTone results?

Most people see strong results after 4 sessions spaced over a period of 2 weeks, though you may feel improvement after just a single session.

How long do CoolTone results last?
